Dirk is one of BitPusher’s newest employees. He’s been with us on a part-time basis for about 6 weeks, and becomes full-time January 1st. To celebrate this, I jumped the gun a bit, and took him to The Hat Guys in Oakland, for his blue fedora.

I talked Dirk into letting me take a picture of him in a Scally Cap. Hijinks ensued.

Afterwards, we drove over to Jack London Square for some BBQ at Everett & Jones. While trying to cross the street, we got stuck for about 12 minutes waiting for this train to go by. The engineer somehow managed to stop it in the proper position that everybody in the Jack London Square parking lot was stuck for another 5 minutes after it went by. Luckily we were on foot.
